Completed projects are photographed on site once finished and labelled as such. A 3D render is the plan drawn before the work, shown here as the client first saw it. Plans stay in the site’s linen tone; photographs of finished rooms show their real colours.

Before · After

From bare shell to finished room

The clearest proof in interior design is the same space, twice: the shell during works, and the finished room.

The finished bar and events room: oil-drum tables and stools, a rainbow-striped bar front, coloured chandeliers and a wall of ex-votos.
The same room during works: bare plasterboard walls, an open ceiling grid, planks leaning on the wall and cables across the floor.

What she draws is what gets built

Before the work starts, Valerie draws the room in 3D. Here is one of those drawings beside a photograph of the room it became.

A kitchen with sage-green units and an oak worktop, a peninsula with an induction hob, three ribbed white pendant shades, and glazed doors onto a pool.
A 3D plan of the kitchen: white units in an L along two walls with a wood-effect worktop, a peninsula, a tall unit holding an oven and a fridge, and a white dining table by the glazed doors.
