What she offers

You do not have to commit to everything at once. Each service stands on its own, and any of them can grow into the next.

Consultancy sessions

Suits — anyone unsure where to start, or who wants a professional eye before spending anything.

Process — a session in your space or online, then a written summary.

Agreed first — the fee for the session, agreed before it is booked. Nothing else is committed.

What you receive

  • One visit to your space, or a video call
  • A walk-through of what is working and what is not
  • A written summary of what to keep, restore and source
  • An indicative budget for the work discussed

Design + sourcing

Suits — projects with a defined scope and a budget, where the client wants the finding done for them.

Process — concept, then selection, then sourcing. Reviewed with you at each step.

Agreed first — the design fee, the purchase budget and what is excluded, all in writing before design begins.

What you receive

  • A full design proposal for the space
  • 3D views of the main spaces, where the project needs them
  • Furniture, materials and finishes selected
  • Sourcing from local makers, workshops and markets
  • A schedule of what is bought, restored and reused

3D views of the main spaces is one of the things this service delivers. Here is one of them, and the room it became.

A 3D plan of the kitchen: white units in an L along two walls with a wood-effect worktop, a peninsula, a tall unit holding an oven and a fridge, and a white dining table by the glazed doors.
3D render
A kitchen with sage-green units and an oak worktop, a peninsula with an induction hob, three ribbed white pendant shades, and glazed doors onto a pool.
Completed project
The plan is drawn from above and the photograph taken at eye level, so the two do not register exactly.

Full project management

Suits — clients who want one person responsible from empty room to finished space.

Process — concept through to completion, with agreed check-ins.

Agreed first — scope, fee basis and the boundary between her work and the contractors’, confirmed in writing first.

What you receive

  • Everything in design and sourcing
  • Contractors briefed and coordinated
  • Deliveries and installation scheduled
  • A walk-through at handover, with anything outstanding written down

Upcycling workshops

Bring one tired piece. Leave with it restored.

A half-day, hands-on, in a small group. You work on something you already own — a chair, a side table, a cabinet door — and learn the judgement that matters most: what is worth restoring and what is not.

  • What you learn — assessing a frame, stripping and preparing, finishing, and choosing hardware that suits the piece.
  • What to bring — one piece of furniture small enough to carry, and no experience at all.
  • Group size — kept small enough that everyone gets time with Valerie.
  • Why it exists — most of what gets thrown away in Phnom Penh is sound. This is the argument, made with your own hands.
Register interest

Format, dates and price are being finalised. Registering puts you on the list for the first session — it is not a booking, and nothing is charged.

Honest answers

Before you get in touch

The design work itself — the consultation, the plan, the selection and the coordination. Furniture, materials and any contractors are separate costs, quoted and agreed on their own.

Yes. A consultancy session stands on its own — you leave with a written summary of what to keep, restore and source, whether or not the project continues.

Yes. The budget is agreed before design work begins, and every sourcing decision after that is made against it. If something cannot be done within it, Valerie says so rather than quietly spending more.

Not sure which one you need?

Describe the space and what is not working. Valerie will tell you which service fits — including when the answer is none of them yet.
